John Jacobsen dropped by for a chat during his time at the Miami Book Fair to discuss his first novel, A Commodore of Errors. A very entertaining book and a fun interview – he brought his guitar!
Captain John Jacobsen, a 1985 graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, spent fifteen years plying the world’s oceans as a ship’s officer on cargo and passenger vessels. Today, Captain Jacobsen is a harbor pilot in the Port of Miami. His notes and diaries over the years inform his writing. A Commodore of Errors is his first novel.
